Yes it is true that Halloween (late October) and Guy Fawkes/Bonfire Night (early November) are BIG dates in the child's diary. As soon as they are over everyone starts looking towards Christmas. Some church-going Christians think of the coming of our Lord in a series of Sunday services known as the period of Advent. (The four Sundays leading up to Christmas) Most people though put up thier Christmas trees, have colourful lights around their house, spend too much money at the shops on each other and generally eat and drink too much also !!
One development at our school this week has been us enrolling on an artistic website called the Saatchi gallery. It contains artworks from schools all over the World and says that it is "hit" 50 million times per day !! (THat is BUSY !)
Our page is at
http://www.saatchi-gallery.co.uk/portfolio/SchoolInfo/Churchfields+Primary+School/533466.html
Please look ? (There are about 35 of our pictures there)
Ciao, PHIL
