Sorry you couldn’t attend the event in Nottingham last weekend. We really missed having you there and it was a really exciting weekend. One of the most exciting parts of the weekend was the awards ceremony on Saturday evening. I’m really delighted to inform you that your project I Nostri Territori was awarded 2nd prize in the category 4 - 11. The competition in this category was particularly tough and I think it’s a credit to all the work you’ve done that your project received recognition from our external judging panel.... "

Ci dispiace tu non abbia potuto partecipare all'evento di Nottingham lo scorso finesettimana. Ci sei mancato veramente lì ed è stato davvero un finesettimana emozionante. Uno dei momenti più emozionanti del finesettimana è stata la cerimonia di premiazione Sabato sera. Sono felicissimo di informarti che il vostro progetto I Nostri Territori è stato premiato con il 2° premio nella categoria 4 - 11. La competizione in questa categoria è stata particolarmente dura e io penso che il fatto che il vostro progetto abbia ricevuto un riconoscimento dalla nostra giuria esterna sia un tributo a tutto il lavoro che avete svolto ..." )

Qualche notizia/Some news

"I nostri territori: il Parco Nazionale del Pollino (monte Caramola) e Newcastle-under-Lyme" è un progetto eTwinning( http://www.etwinning.net/) in cui la nostra scuola è coinvolta insieme ad una scuola inglese da circa tre anni. Il progetto prevede scambi di informazioni sulla flora e sulla fauna due territori e sulle attività socio economiche in essi esistenti.

Nel primo anno di lavori le classi coinvolte nel gemellaggio si sono scambiate informazioni sulle classi, sulle relative scuole ,sulle località.

Nel secondo anno informazioni riguardo ad alcune attività tipiche legate al proprio territorio ( la vinificazione, la sidrificazione, le miniere e la produzione di ceramica) ed ad alcune attività scolastiche di particolare rilievo.

Quest'anno ci apprestiamo a guidare i nostri alunni ed i nostri partners alla scoperta di un'altra attività tipica legata al nostro territorio : la produzione dell'olio d'oliva.

In questo modo cerchiamo di contribuire a "...formare cittadini taliani che siano nello stesso tempo cittadini dell'Europa e del mondo.... attraverso la comprensione di far parte di grandi tradizioni comuni, di un'unica comunità di destino europea così come di un un'unica comunità di destino planetaria." , cerchiamo di aiutare i nostri alunni " a mettere in relazione le molteplici esperienze culturali emerse nei diversi spazi e nei diversi tempi della storia europea e della storia dell'umanità" (Nuove Indicazioni).

"I nostri territori: il Parco Nazionale del Pollino (monte Caramola) e Newcastle- under-Lyme" is an etwinning project in which our school has been involved with an English school since about three years ago. The project expects information exchanges about the flora and the fauna of the two territories and about some social and economical activities of these ones.

During the first year of works the classes involved in the etwinnig exchanged each other information about the classes, the schools and the localities.

During the second year they exchanged each other information about some tipycal activities linked to the own territory ( wine-making, cider-making, coalmines and potteries) and about some particular school activities.

This year we're going to guide our students and our partners to discover another typical activity related to our territory: the olive oil making.

In this way we try to contribute to..." educate Italian citizens that are in the same time citizens of Europe and of the world... by the comprehension to be part of big common traditions, of an only one European destiny community and of an only one planetary destiny community as well.", we try to help our children, "to connect the many cultural experiences emerged in different places and in different times of the European and world history".( Nuove Indicazioni) ( my own traslation)
